Warisan launches app to raise funds for election
Published on: Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Sabah on Monday launched its "Perjuangan Rakyat" app to raise funds for its campaign in the coming general election.

The digital application serves as a platform for its supporters and the people in general to be involved in the party's campaign.

Its President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal said the application also represents the people's own struggle for change in the national and state political landscape.

"From our jelajah (roadshows), many people have come to ask us how they could support us financially.

So, the party is making use of technology to engage with as many people and through this app they can also make their financial contributions at any amount they feel comfortable with," he said after the launch.

He said during all its gatherings and meetings with the people around the State, many people came forward to make generous contributions in kind to the party.

The app also contains current news about the party and an interactive space that allows users to share ideas, even give their criticisms to the party.

Shafie said the party's crowdfunding campaign is not illegal and no one is forced to donate if they do not wish to.

The app can be downloaded from Play Store for Android or App Store for iPhone. - Leonard Alaza
